Electropolishing systems for CO-Cr coronary stents with 100% output.
With Russamer Electropolishing technology there is no need to visually inspect Co-Cr stents after oxides removal procedure. All leftover oxide spots will be lifted and eliminated during electropolishing preparation. The inner and outer surface of the stent is polished evenly smooth along the whole length.
After standard descaling processing there may be leftover oxides spots left on the side walls. In regular Co-Cr electropolishing stents are inspected and returned to descaling tank, then visually inspected again. In our proprietery electropolishing processing the leftover oxide spots are lifted and dissolved, thus removing labor consuming step of visual examination.
Other Cobalt Chrome applications.
For knee implants made from CO-CR alloy it is important to remove Tungsten Carbides or Molybdenum Carbides in order to extend life of the moving implants.
By special after-polishing treatment we remove the carbides without damaging the surface.
